What a fun and exciting week we've had! The "Children of the World" have done a wonderful job prepping for the pageant and look FANTASTIC in their costumes.
In math this week, we completed the "Peppermint Challenge". Students were given index cards, spaghetti noodles, marshmallows, gumdrops, toothpicks, and peppermints. They had to build a tall and sturdy tower, capable of supporting 3 peppermints stacked on top of each other. It was a great, fun challenge! The team winning team's tower measured over 15 inches tall! Check out some pictures below. Merry Christmas! See everyone back in 2017!

It has been another fantastic week in 2nd grade! We've been lucky to have access to Chromebooks this week. In Social Studies, we used them to research Christmas around the world and create informative posters. In math, we reviewed how to log on to IXL and practice math skills.
We've also been busy practicing for the Christmas Pageant. We hope you're ready for a wonderful service! Gideon was our STAR last week! Jessie and William are featured on the Twitter board in the 1st/2nd grade hallway! One more week until Christmas break! |
